Disclaimer- I have never fed this to nursing calves. I have started thousands of stockers from lbs on whole corn and rumensin and it worked very well, and see no reason it wouldn't work well as a creep using the salt as a limiter.
When corn was less than three dollars it was by far the most cost effective feed. With the price of cattle relative to corn it may be again. North Cental Mo. You can limit with salt, but they might not take right to it. And if you value your feeder don't use salt in it. Purina acuration with corn or a similar product to limit intake would save your feeder but would cost a little more coin.
Guy that has my feed corn stored is purina dealer. I'll check into the accuration. Yes and you wont have a feeder long. There is a guy here that feeds cattle out on whole corn and tender lean which is like the acuration I think in creep feeders. Marianna Arkansas.
